Saving Castaways

Castaways offers a look at redemption and second chances

Castaways – We start at the beginning.

by CastawaysAdmin on May 30, 2013

We began filming for Castaways just over a year ago, but it is just launching to the public now.  We have a bit more to do on the site and some of the backend stuff, then we’ll be back to tell you the story of how we got interested in relating the stories of this K-9 program.  More to come very soon…

Where are you located? How are you funded? Do you have any staffing needs?

I would like to know if there is any way I could help besides donating money. I have no idea where you’re located, but I would love to help these dogs in some way. Thank you for what you are doing.

One of the best means is to share this story and links with all that you know so people learn about this program and seek it out as an option when adopting a dog.  The more people asking for it the more the prison system will give in and establish a program that works and is in demand. You can also research animal therapy organizations and see if they have resources to support such a program.

Thanks for watching and supporting the program.

  3. Please can someone contact me? Our company would like to be a part of this program.

Either start one in a state that does not yet have such a program. Or by being a part of the ones that are already in place. Please any information would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you for your time!

We get asked this a lot on how to get a program implemented locally.  It is rather hard, simply because of the politics and logistics of working with a prison system.  One of the best means is to share this story and links with all that you know so people learn about this program and seek it out as an option when adopting a dog.  The more people asking for it the more the prison system will give in and establish a program that works and is in demand. Thanks for watching and supporting the program.
